We don't just listen.
We make you feel heard.

E Dunay Design is a small, female-led architecture practice based in Northwest Georgia. This includes Rome, Calhoun, Adairsville, and Cartersville.

Guided by meaningful connection, we’re a soft‑spoken yet strongly principled studio that brings a thoughtful and collaborative approach to every project.

Led by Principal Elizabeth Dunay, our practice is grounded in intention, empathy, and compassion. We listen deeply, and weave your stories and visions into every step of the design process.

As a small studio, when you work with us you receive not only personalized service but also a genuine partnership, promising a design experience where you feel heard and supported every step of the way.

E Dunay Design is proudly WBENC‑Certified, a designation awarded by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). This certification validates that E Dunay Design is at least 51% owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women.

ELIZABETH DUNAY, FOUNDING PRINCIPAL AND OWNER

Having earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University, Beth has completed additional studies in energy‑efficient technologies for residential applications.

Her portfolio spans an impressive range of project types, including religious, medical, educational, government, and retail facilities, along with residential design. She also brings specialized experience designing for the Veterans Administration SAH grants.

Deeply committed to preserving community heritage, Beth serves on the Rome Planning Commission and the Board of Trustees for the Salmon Cemetery Foundation. She is an active member of both the Association of Licensed Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

A creative at heart, Beth starts each morning with dedicated “flow time” before the day’s emails and calls sweep her into the rhythm of running a practice. She’s an avid reader, and she shares her days with two adorable mixed-breed dogs who enjoy extra walks whenever Beth is stuck on a design challenge. She’s also known to dabble in the occasional odd job around the house, mostly for fun, partly as procrastination.

We pride ourselves on our empathy and clear communication, because feeling heard should be part of the design journey.

Think we’d work well together?

Beth really is a gem. She is not only fun to work with, but also incredibly knowledgeable about what she does.

Manifesto – a right to be heard

Like a garden, architecture thrives when shaped with balance, awareness, and care. We communicate with clarity and transparency, and lead with empathy and intuition.

As architects, we do far more than just draw and design. We seek the unspoken places where your space no longer supports you, and uncover possibilities that harmonize your needs, desires, and budget.

We believe every building tells a story, and we honor the power of yours.

Beth

I personally love that she doesn’t sugarcoat things just to appease a client. She tells them what they need to hear, and if there is a disconnect between the two things, she bridges the gap.
